Bolton Clarke’s team has been recognised as a finalist for the Mobility Team of the Year Award for their outstanding success in implementing the PALM Aged Care Expansion scheme.

This initiative involved recruiting and training 98 Personal Care Workers from Fiji, who were placed in 20 aged care centres, stabilising staffing levels in rural areas. With a remarkable 97% retention rate, the scheme significantly reduced recruitment turnover and labour hire costs, while enhancing the continuity and quality of care for residents.

The large-scale effort required seamless collaboration across departments to manage housing, training, visa processes, and cultural integration, supported by the introduction of PALM Support Officer roles.

The program’s success not only saved Bolton Clarke considerable operational costs but also created a scalable model for future international recruitment in aged care. This exemplary teamwork and innovative approach make Bolton Clarke a strong contender for the Mobility Team of the Year Award.
