Alexandra Buchanan and Marta De Falco, BHP

Alexandra Buchanan is Lead Global Mobility – Americas at BHP, and Marta De Falco is Lead – Global Mobility Performance. Together, they support BHP’s global mobility programme with a focus on employee experience, programme effectiveness and human-centred relocation support, helping employees and families navigate the practical and personal aspects of moving across locations.

Award submission
The submission focused on BHP’s Relocation Buddy Program, developed with Pivt to add human connection to the relocation experience. Employees and families are connected with colleagues who understand similar moves, alongside local guides and community support. One employee relocating to Santiago used the network to find practical ways to build friendships and feel more connected in his new city.
